1. Pre-Start Preparation  

(1) Open the cooling water inlet valve and check whether the water supply to each stage of the cooler and cylinder is normal.  

(2) Verify that the oil level in the crankcase is within the specified range.  

(3) Ensure the inlet regulating valve is closed, the compressor outlet vent valve is open, and the air delivery valve is closed.  

(4) Confirm that electrical equipment is in the start position.  

(5) Check whether the anchor bolts and coupling bolts are loose.  

(6) Rotate the flywheel several turns to ensure it moves freely without jamming.  

2. Startup Procedure  

(1) Turn on the power and start the compressor, closely monitoring oil pressure and listening for abnormal noises.  

(2) If everything is normal, fully open the inlet regulating valve.  

(3) Gradually close the outlet vent valve. Once the compressor is running normally under load, slowly open the air delivery valve to supply air.  

Selection of Compressor Installation Location  

The selection of an installation site is often overlooked by personnel. Frequently, after purchasing a compressor, it is placed randomly, connected to piping, and put into use without prior planning. Such carelessness can lead to future malfunctions, maintenance difficulties, and poor air quality. Therefore, choosing an appropriate installation location is a prerequisite for the correct use of an air compressor system:  

(1)Choose a well-lit, spacious areato facilitate operation, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring sufficient space and lighting.  

(2)Select a location with low humidity, minimal dust, and good ventilation, avoiding environments with moisture, acid fumes, oil mist, or excessive dust and fibers.  

(3)According to GB50029-2003 Design Code for Compressed Air Stations, the heating temperature in the compressor room should not be lower than 15°C during working hours and should not drop below 5°C during non-working hours.  

(4) If the compressor’s air intake or cooling air intake is indoors, the ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C.  

(5) In dusty or polluted factory environments, install pre-filtration equipment to extend the service life of compressor components.  

(6) For stations with a single unit capacity ≥ 20 m³/min or a total installed capacity ≥ 60 m³/min, a lifting device for maintenance should be provided, with its capacity determined by the heaviest component of the compressor unit.  

(7) Reserve passageways and maintenance space as per GB50029-2003. The distance between the compressor unit and the wall should be 0.8–1.5 m, depending on the air discharge capacity.
