How does an air compressor perform air circulation?
Oct 30 , 2024

There are several key steps involved in the process of air circulation in an air compressor, which is described in detail below:

1.Air Intake Filter: First, the air passes through the air intake filter, ensuring that the air drawn into the compressed chamber is clean and filtered. This step helps to prevent dust and impurities from entering the inside of the compressor and protects the machine from wear and tear.

2.Air Intake Control Valve (Inverter Unit): The air intake valve plays a one-way role in air intake, controls the amount of air entering the compressor, and controls it when there is no need to add and unload.

3.Compressor rotor: Air enters the compressor rotor, which rotates the compressed air, increasing its pressure.

4.Oil and gas drums: In oil and gas drums, due to different gravity, the oil and compressed air begin to separate, playing the role of preliminary separation.

5.Air-air separator: further separates the remaining oil in the compressed air to ensure the cleanliness of the compressed air.

6.Minimum pressure or non-return valve: When the system pressure rises to 4.5 bar, the valve opens, accelerating the formation of system pressure and guaranteeing lubrication during the start-up phase. At the same time, after the air compressor is stopped, the check valve prevents the compressed air from flowing back from the external air pipeline to the air compressor.

7.Cooler: The compressed air is cooled in the cooler, and during the cooling process, the moisture in the compressed air is converted into condensate and flows out, further purifying the air.

8.Air supply valve: The air supply valve can be used to isolate the air compressor and the external gas pipe, and control the supply of compressed air.

The above steps constitute a complete process of air circulation inside the air compressor, ensuring a clean, dry and stable supply of compressed air.
