1. Verify the bearing specifications: First, confirm whether the model and size of the bearing match the installation requirements. According to the characteristics of the bearing and the matching parts, select the appropriate assembly method, and prepare the corresponding tools and measuring tools, such as hand hammers, copper rods, sleeves, special backing plates, presses, etc.
2.Check the mating surface: Before installation, carefully inspect the mating surface of the shaft journal, the bore surface of the housing housing, the end face of the shoulder, and the connecting parts such as bushings and washers. For the corrosive layer, it should be removed with a fine file and sanded with a fine abrasive cloth, while the buildup on the bearing assembly surface and its connecting parts should be removed.
3.Special tool-assisted installation: Use a recoilless hammer to gently tap the sleeve to move the bearing smoothly until the other end face of the inner ring is in close contact with the shoulder.
4.Measuring Bearing Clearance: Bearing clearance is measured using the false shaft method or the pad lifting method. The false shaft method requires that the difference between the diameter of the false shaft and the actual working journal is within 0.05mm, and the perpendicularity error between the center line of the false shaft and the working horizontal plane does not exceed 0.02mm. The tile lifting method involves measuring the position and orientation of the pad in the bearing housing, removing the set screw on the back of the pad, and taking the measurement after removing the pad.
5.Detection of concentricity: The concentricity of a bearing is determined by measuring the thickness of adjacent pads.
6.Check the axial clearance of the crankshaft: For thrust bearings, check the axial clearance of the crankshaft to determine if the bearing needs to be replaced.
7.Ensure that the bearing is in place correctly: when installing the bearing, it is necessary to ensure that the chamfer of the end face of the inner ring and the chamfer of the end face of the outer ring evenly contact the shaft and hole, and at the same time, ensure that the inner and outer end faces of the sleeve gasket group evenly contact the inner and outer ring end faces of the bearing, and ensure that the axial line of the sleeve is parallel to the center line of the shaft and the hole.
By following these steps, you can effectively verify that the air compressor bearings are installed in place and ensure that they are installed correctly, thereby prolonging the service life of the bearings and ensuring the stable operation of the air compressor.
